What is Reflexology? Reflexology is a non intrusive complementary health therapy. A reflexoligst works on points on the feet, lower leg or hands. Reflexology is based on the principle that there are reflex points in the feet and hands which relate to every organ in the body. By applying deep pressure to these points, it may reduce stress and tension, increase blood supply to affected organs and improve circulation. It may help rid the body of toxins and it may help to achieve balance. Reflexology is not used to diagnose or prescribe.

Indian Head and Shoulder Massage

This is an amazing treatment using 100% pure essential oils mixed in sunflower oil. I start on the neck and then move onto the shoulders. I then concentrate on the scalp using many different techniques from relaxing to stimulating the scalp, hair folicles and skin cells. This is a massage of the arms and hands, Japanese Hand Massage is a unique blend of massage and reflexology. This treatment is designed to reintroduce the lost art of hand massage to the therapist’s repertoire! Anyone who has ever experienced a good hand massage will sigh with pleasure at the recollection. Our hands are one of the most overused parts of our body and work very hard, but in general they are sadly neglected. Even if we visit a salon for a treatment we will often only leave with beautiful nails and will probably have missed one of the greatest little physical luxuries one can experience - a hand massage. A good hand massage will help tremendously to de-stress your client, open energy channels and create a feeling of well being. A Japanese Hand Massage lasts about 25 to 30 minutes. You will remain fully clothed and lie on a massage couch. You may feel warmth, tingling and deep relaxation. Reiki is used to stimulate natural re-balancing, giving you a sense of well-being.
Treatment with Reiki energy is said to help re-balance the whole person in mind, body and spirit.
Reiki is the practice of hands on healing originating in Japan. The word Reiki means ‘universal life energy’ – the energy around and within all living things. The Reiki practitioner’s hands are placed on the energy centres (chakra’s) of the body where positive healing energy is emitted and drawn into the body where weak energy exists. The Reiki energy will naturally flow to where it is needed, working on all three levels of the human psyche, mind, body and spirit.
